Biography

Slingsby was born in 1806. The biography of his nephew John Thomas Barnes in Williams's History of Frederick County, Maryland names his parents as Zadock Barnes and Elizabeth Polson (Poulson).^[1]

Slingsby was living in Ohio in 1850.^[2] By the 1880 census, he was in Wabash County, Indiana. ^[3]

Slingsby died in 1891.^[4]
