James Barnes (abt. 1843 - 1912)

Biography

James was born about 1843 in Dewsbury, Yorkshire, England. He was the son of James Barnes, a shoemaker.^[1]

In 1866 James married Mary Ann Smart in Hull.^[1] The family lived in Hull, where James worked as a labourer.^[2][3][4]

Mary died in 1900 at the age of 53.^[5] James remained in Hull with his children.^[6] In 1911 he worked as a nightwatchman.^[7]

James died in 1912 at the age of 74.^[8]
