William Henry Barraclough was born on 27th November 1846 in Colne, West Riding of Yorkshire, England, United Kingdom. He was the son of Samuel Barraclough and mother unknown. [1]
He migrated to New South Wales (Australia).
William married Hannah Egerton in 1868 in Sydney, New South Wales. [2] The couple had two sons and two daughters, the youngest of whom died in infancy.
William and Hannah were devout members of the Congregational Church; William being an executive member of the Congregational Union of NSW and treasurer of the Christian Endeavour Movement. [3]
Aged 45 years, William passed away in 1892 in Glebe, New South Wales. [4]
