Biography

Sarah was born abt 1848.

Daughter of Peter and Sarah Barrett, she married Alfred Pollard on 21 February 1868 at Auckland.

She passed away in 1928 at her son's residence, Arney Road, Remuera, and interred July 24 (Age 79)

In Loving Memory of ALFRED, beloved husband of Sarah Pollard Died 8th November 1912, Aged 72 Years
When the day of toil is done, When the race of life is run, Father grant thy weary one rest for evermore.
SARAH beloved wife of the above who departed this life July 22nd 1928 Aged 79 Years Born at Auckland 1948. She lived a life of unselfishness and devotion.
(sep plaque) Sacred to the memory of our dear brother NORMAN FREDERICK POLLARD killed in the Great War at Ypress, 23rd Dec. 1917, Aged 29 Years. -- His Duty Duely Done.
