Henry Barron was born in Mevagissey, Cornwall, and his birth was registered in the fourth quarter of 1872^[1]. He was the son of John Barron and Catherine Thomas.

At the time of the 1881 England and Wales Census, John, Catherine, Richard, David, Bessie, James, Emma, Jennie, Henry, and George Baron were listed as living in Mevagissey^[2]
