Biography

Henry Bathurst was a younger son of Peter Bathurst and his wife, Selena Shirley. [1] He made his career in the army, rising to the rank of major,[1] probably by purchase.

In 1801 Henry's only surviving brother, General Peter Bathurst, died without offspring and left Clarendon Park to Henry who, at the time, was living in Derby. [1]

He passed away in 1812 and was buried at St Andrew, Laverstock on the 7th of February. [2]
