Biography

William was born on 13 April 1842 in Central Swan, Western Australia. He is the son of Joseph Batt and Ruth Downton. ^[1]

William Batt was born in the Colony of Western Australia (1832-1900)

William married Margaret Brodie in 1865 in Pinjarra. ^[2] Margaret arrived on board the “Clara” with her mother and sister on the 3 September 1853. They had one child. ^[3]

William and Margaret lived and farmed 11 acres in the Murray district in 1866.^[3]

William died at Pinjarra on 17 February 1868.^{[4] [5]}
