Edward was the eldest surviving son of Sir Edward Bayntun of Bromham, Wiltshire, by his first wife Elizabeth, daughter of Sir Henry Maynard of Easton, Essex.[1]
Edward was baptised on 02 Dec 1618 at Bromham, Wiltshire, son of Sir Edward Bayntun, Knight, and Dame Elizabeth his wife.[2]
Marriage and Children
He married by Licence of 29 May 1661, Stuarta, daughter of Sir Thomas Thynne of Richmond, Surrey, and coheir to her brother Thomas Thynne II of Longleat, Wiltshire.[1]

He was educated at St. John’s, Oxford. 1636; admitted to Lincoln's Inn 1638.[1]
