Biography
Arthur William Beard was born in 1886 in Soham, Cambridgeshire[1]. He was the son of Arthur Beard and Ann or Hannah Elizabeth Palmer[2].
In 1926 he married Ada Hannah Whitfield in Norfolk[3] and they had 3 sons: Arthur James (b.1927, d.1998), Peter Thomas (b.1929) and John (b.1937).
Arthur died aged 78 in 1964 in Chobham, Surrey,[4] and was buried there in Valley End St Saviour Churchyard[5].
