Biography
Alfred Beaumont was born in 1842. He married Rebecca Hardesty.[1]
In 1894, Alfred shot his brother-in-law Samuel Lenover in a dispute over a reward for the capture of the killers of Henry Helmick. Lenover was awarded one sixth of a of a $500 reward. Upon returning home with the money, Beaumont was awaiting believing he was entitled to 1/2 of Lenover's funds. Beaumont received a 6 month jail term for his actions.[2]
