Biography
Benjamin Brandon Becknell, son of James Becknell and Sarah Ann DeFruce Becknell, was born on 3 April 1854 at Pickens County, South Carolina.[1]
He married Sarah Ann “Lula” Burgess, daughter of Thomas Burgess and Mary Jane (Ward or Bevis) Burgess.[1]
Benjamin died on 15 April 1915 at Gaffney, Cherokee County, South Carolina and was buried at Oakland Cemetery, Gaffney, Cherokee County, South Carolina. His memorial has a copy of his death certificate, photos and link to those of family members.[1]
