Obituary Notice
"Doris B. Hunley, 91, a longtime resident of Mathews passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 24, 2016. She had resided at Gloucester House for the past two and a half years. Doris was a graduate of Mathews High School and retired from Mathews Social Services after 25 years of service. Doris was predeceased by her husband, Thomas S. Hunley, Jr. She is survived by her sons, Raymond A. Hunley of Mathews and Samuel R. Hunley and wife Linda of Aiken, SC. She also leaves behind her daughter in law, Marianne C. Hunley and grandchildren; Lesley R. Hunley, Matthew T. Hunley (Shuo), Michael R. Hunley, Josh M. Skeen, Betty S. Gorinson (Hunter) and great-grandchild, Ingrid. A Memorial service will be held Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home, Mathews, Virginia. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials to the Mathews Volunteer Fire Department, P. O. Box 1130, Mathews, Virginia or the Mathews Rescue Squad, P. O. Box 723, Mathews, Virginia."
