Biography

Radevine Belsom was born to Andre Jean Belsom Sr. and his second wife Pelagie Haydel around 1815 in St. Charles Parish, Louisiana, USA.

She married Joseph Hymel around 1835 and together they had 4 children before she was widowed as shown in the 1850 census where she is listed as Widow Hymel with three of her children and her son in law Paul Troxler.[1]

Children

  1. Marie Antonise Hymel (1827– ) married Francois St. Pe
  2. Josephine Hymel (1828– ) married first, Paul Troxler and second, Joseph Ovide Champagne
  3. Arthur Hymel Sr (1834–1886) married widow Elvina Champagne
  4. Caroline Hymel (1834–1937) married F. Oscar Champagne

She married for the second time to widower Louis Beamont Falgout on 26 April 1851 in Destrehan, Louisiana. There were no children of that union.[2]

Radevine passed away around 1853.
