Biography
Grazia was born in 1826 [1] to "Domenico" (probably Damiano) Bennice, a farmer, and Vita Santoro [2]. In 1845 at age 19, she married 32-year-old Francesco Bastone [3], an ox cart driver, and they had at least one child. Grazia passed away before 17 August 1877 [4].
Grazia was named for her maternal grandmother, Grazia Cicio.
Research Notes
The marriage record for son Angelo names her as Grazia Santoro. Santoro was her mother's surname. It is not yet clear whether this was just an error or she chose to use her mother's surname.
