Yesterday afternoon Mr. W. A. Drew, of the firm of Messrs. Drew and Co.,hotelbrokers, etc.. and son of Mr. William Brew, of Ballarat, was married to Miss Alice Bentley, second daughter of Mr. Adam Bentley, of Bell-street, Ironbark. The wedding ceremony was performed by the Ven. Archdeacon MacCullagh in St. Paul's Church, a large number of friends of the contracting parties assembling to witness the interesting function. The bride, who was escorted to the altar by her father, was prettily costumed in a gown of brocaded silk, with chenille trimmings, with a bridal veil, and wreath of violets and maiden hair ferns. The bridesmaids were Miss Jean Bentley and Miss Alice Drew, the former being attired in white silk, trimmed with chenille, and the latter in figured silk. Mr. A. Weingartner and Mr. Arthur Drew acted as best man and groomsman respectively. After the ceremony, the bridal party drove to the residence of the bride's parents, where the wedding breakfast was laid out in a marquee on the premises. Cr. Murdoch, of Eaglehawk, presided, and after the loyal toasts had been duly honored, Mr. J. Marwick proposed the health of "The Bride and Bridegroom." This was honored, and , responded to by Mr. Drew. Several other toasts were also proposed. Alter the breakfast, the happy couple left by the 6.45 p.m. train for Melbourne, where the honeymoon will be spent. The bride was the recipient of a beautiful collection of presents.
