On October 1 2017, Steven was celebrating his 44th birthday with friends at the Route 91 Harvest Festival on the Las Vegas Strip he was shot and killed in the mass shooting. The financial advisor, who loved country music, left behind his three children and his parents. Steven was mentioned on a memorial with a death date of 1 October 2017.^[2] Steve was in an obituary on 8 October 2017 in a Kansas City, Missouri newspaper . He died (age 44) in Las Vegas in 2017.^{[3] [4]}
