Martha Berryman was born on March 2, 1860 in Harvey, Albert, New Brunswick, daughter of William Berryman (1821– ) and Mary Jane Bishop (1832– ).[1]

Martha had a sister, Hanefa Eva Berryman (1864–1950).

Martha (17) married James Gilbert Jonah (26) (born on June 8, 1851 in Hillsborough, Albert; son of Henry Jonah and Elizabeth (Wilson) Jonah) on November 5, 1877 in Albert. Their known son was Albert Allain Jonah (1884–1951).

Martha died on April 21, 1956 in Hillsborough, Albert, Canada, aged 96. She was buried in Gray's Island Cemetery, Hillsborough, Albert County, New Brunswick.[1]
