George Best was born on 1 Nov 1827 in Osthofen, Germany to parents Johann Phillip Best and Anna Maria Finger. He married Josephine Lackner on 17 Apr 1854 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Children: Philipp Franz Emil, Josephine. He died on 5 May 1879 in Osthofen, Germany.
