First wife was Verna Grabbert (daughter of Charles and Minnie Grabbert) who he married in 1920 in Porter County, IN. That marriage ended in divorce. Verna married Wm E Perry and moved to Hebron, IL. Wm E Perry was first married to Floy Bigelow.
They had a son Elmer Bigelow who was killed in World War II.
