On October 1851 the partnership of Jacques Schwabacher and Louis Birnstingl was dissolved, because of debts by Birnstingl.[3] Louis Birnstingl of Broad-street-buildings declared bankruptcy in 1856.[4]

Is Louis the same person as Maurice Birnstingl who was naturalised in 1851: UK National Archives Reference: HO 1/39/1240a Description: Naturalisation Papers: Birnstingl, Maurice, from Austria. Certificate 1240A issued 14 May 1851. No naturalisation found for Louis. However it seems Maurice listed separately on 1851 census: In the 1851 census Mauritz (age 37), Merchant, was a unmarried visitor in Hatton Garden, Liberty of Saffron Hill, Holborn, London & Middlesex, England.[10]
