Biography

David Harbison is person 686 in DJB. He came to Mo. in 1832, from Prince Edward Co., Va., taught school and worked at his trade as wagon maker. He was Judge of the County Court; was Brigade Inspector of Militia with rank of Major. Rem. from Union to St. Louis, 1848., was a Whig and Dem. in pols. ; elder in Presby. Ch. for 60 yrs. m. (1) Mary Ann Park, at Union, Mo., Dec. 25, 1834. She was b. Oct. 5, 1818, d. Jan. 3, 1838. He m. (2) Susan B. Stevens, Dec. 26, 1839. She was b. Andover, Mass., Feb. 24, 1817; d. Apr. 3, 1841. He m. (3) Mrs. Sarah Lee Orrick, St. Louis, Mo., Feb. 3, 1842. She was b. Turin, Lewis Co., N.Y., Jan. 24, 1810, d. St. Louis, Feb. 15, 1901, aged 91 yrs. Her maiden name was Lindsey, dau. of Luke Lindsey and Eunice Lyman.
