I need some help in researching my paternal-side family members. I am the son of Albert Edward Pierce, who was known as 'Buddy' as a young man, and who died Sept. 29, 1972, (born Jan. 14, 1924) . He was the son of Adelaide, daughter of Knowlton F. Pierce, who was Fire Chief of Kearny, N.J. 1929-31 . She was one of eleven sisters. I have a list of the 11 sisters and one son( below ), which I found on the internet, listing daughters of Knowlton F. Pierce and Theodora Mary Bloomer - most of which are names I know of by childhood family visits or by talk overheard as a child, and when I found this list it reminded me. Yet I do not remember the names of any of their children and have no one left to ask who does remember, and have had no luck with internet searches on any of the names I have. In the years after my father's death I limited all family contact ( on both sides) for decades - but now regret the possible permanent loss of contact with anyone from my father's family or of any knowledge of them. My internet searches have been limited by health and money issues, and by the lack of ability to confirm and expand upon information with direct sources. I have therefore been reluctant to commit significant expenses to records searches etc, until I have firmer leads and some confidence I am searching in the right directions. Any advice by experienced searchers upon the best uses of moneys for research efforts would be appreciated. Most importantly, I am specifically looking for information about the children and grandchildren etc. of any of the eleven sisters, and of the one son Knowlton (jr?), Secondarily, I am also curious to confirm if William A. Pierce of Pittsfield, Mass., who had son Knowlton Francis Pierce and daughter Clara is the father of the Knowlton F. Pierce who was FireChief of Kearny.Knowlton F.
