Raymond John Blunden was born on 1 Dec 1904 in Molong, New South Wales, Australia, son of Henry Edward Blunden (1863–1938) and Martha Philadelphia (Cousins) Blunden (1870–1933). ^[1]

In 1930, Raymond was living at Dripstone near Wellington, occupation farmer, living with father, Henry, plus brothers, Cyril, Eric and Samuel. The brothers continued to live together for a number of years. ^{[2] [3]}

Raymond died on 11 Jun 1993 in Wellington, New South Wales, Australia, aged 88.^[4]
