The following year, a son was born, but he died at sea, en route to the Colonies, on 28th August 1851, aged 1.
1851 Census, England. Stephen was a 36-year-old Miner, livign in Camborne, Cornwall, with his wife and son. [3]
Emigration to Australia. In October 1851, recorded as the Boddinn family, they arrived in South Australia on board the barque Oregon. Stephen was a 26-year-old Miner, from Cornwall. Lucy was 28. Their son Stephen was aged 1. [4]
Sadly, young Stephen died en route, on 28th August 1851, aged 1.
By 1855, the Bonnar family were in the Colony of Victoria registering the birth of Stephen John Bodinnar at Maryborough. Lucy's maiden surname was recorded as Muffatt, but the spelling varied over the next four birth registrations: Moffitt, Muffett, Moffatt, and Moffatt. [5]
Death. Stephen died in 1903, aged 88. His death was registered at St Arnaud, Victoria, Australia. [6]
