Denise Tracy officiating. B urial will follow in Bluff City Cemetery, Elgin. Visitation will be fro m 4 to 8 p.m. today, in the Laird Funeral Home, 310 S. State St., Elgin , and from 10:30 a.m. until the time of funeral services at the church. B orn June 29, 1910, in rural New Rockford, N.D., to Henry and Pauline (n ee Behrens) Bohner, she passed away Saturday, Oct. 7, 2006, in her home . At age three, she came to Elgin with her parents and lived here ever s ince. Minna was employed in the offices of the Elgin Softener Corporati on for 40 years. She also was employed at Roselle Jewelers and for Thom as Huntley realtor appraiser. Since childhood, Minna was a member of St . Paul's United Church of Christ, where she served in various capacitie s. She was also a member of the Elgin Area Historical Society, the Elgi n Public Mus! eum, and a longtime member of the Elgin Genealogical Soc iety. Survivors include her sister, Laura Willer of Elgin; five nieces, J udith (Roger) Peterson of Lincoln, Neb., Polly (the late George) Russel l of Elgin, Charlene (Milton) Cochell of Firth, Neb., Janet DeRubbo of S t. Joseph, Mich. and Susan (Ross) Levett of Tenants Harbor, Maine; one n ephew, Jon Kobel of Elgin; and her caregiver of 10 years, Mary. She was p receded in death by her parents; two sisters, Doris Kobel and Gertrude B ohner; and her niece, Mary Ellen Kobel. Memorials may be made to the ch urch. For information, 847-741-8800.
