Biography

Ruth Elaine Boll

She was born July 11, 1899 and is the daughter of Peter Boll and Edna Nash. Ruth grew up in Lincoln Township, Oklahoma^[1][2] along with seven siblings; Fannie B Boll, Anna 'Annie' Boll, Lorie Kenneth Boll, Glen Boll, Nettie Mae Boll, Ethel Boll and Mary Oler Boll. She attended school in Watonga, Oklahoma from at least 1913-1920.^[3][4][5]

Ruth married Ralph Bertrum Artis April 18, 1935 and they made their home in Luzerne Township, Pennsylvania^[6] where he provided for the family by working transportation for the mine until his death December 4, 1948. Together they raised two children, Lois Ruth Artis and Betty Lou Artis. Ruth died February 9, 1978 and she is buried in Little White Rock Cemetery, Fayette County, Pennsylvania.^[7]
