Biography
Dorothy M. Rugh, 89 of Sarver passed away on Sunday, July 20, 2014 at Concordia Lutheran Ministries.
Born February 11, 1925 in Rosedale, PA, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary J. (Machen) Bolte.
She was the owner of Rugh's Tavern. She was a member of the Saxonburg Auxiliary, the Elks and the Moose. Dorothy enjoyed playing cards, bingo and dancing.
Surviving are her loving children, Kenneth A. Rugh of Saxonburg, Barbara (Bill) Strickengloss of Sebring, FL, Constance (Rick) Callen of Saxonburg, and Melody (Derwood) McAfoose of Sarver, 12 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, and 22 great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth E. Rugh, daughter, Deborah Mentch. Friends will be received on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 from 6-8 pm at the Fox Funeral Home, Inc., 410 W. Main Street, Saxonburg, PA. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Rev. Jonathan Dowdy officiating. Interment will follow in Butler Co. Memorial Park.
