Biography

Edgar Bond was born in Victoria, Australia

Edgar Thomas Bond was born on 20 September 1880 in Violet Town, Victoria, the son of Thomas Bond and Dinah Sarah Hart.^[1]

In 1901 he was employed as a porter in Northam, Western Australia.^[2] By 1902 he was promoted to shunter. He was promoted to head shunter in February 1904.^[3]

He married Mary Ann Bonser in 1904 in Northam, Western Australia.^[4]They had one daughter together.

Edgar succumbed to injuries sustained in a shunting accident and died on 16 January 1906 in Northam, Western Australia.^[5][6] He was cremated and his ashes interred in the Crematorium Rose Gardens in Karrakatta Cemetery and Crematorium, Karrakatta, Nedlands City, Western Australia, Australia.^[7]
