Biography
Their are as of yet unidentified male children in the household and I am hoping they connect to my Henry Shelton in Carroll County, Mississippi. Henry was first found in the 1840 census. Lewis had a son John Shelton who was the only Shelton on the 1835 Tax Roll for Carroll county, Mississippi, He was in Copiah County, Mississippi in 1840.

I have taken the Ancestry DNA test yet I can't connect to the Shelton line of Lewis I do think that the family of my Henry in Jefferson, County and Saline County, AR and the Henry A. Shelton in Lawrence County Arkansas are the same line of Shelton's but Ancestry keeps trying to say they are one and the same they are not. Yet I still am looking for a male Shelton in my known family to take a DNA Test. I have gotten a son of my great Aunt Mary Ella Shelton Barber to take a DNA test. He is a generation closer than I so may he will show me the connection to the right Shelton. Fingers Crossed. Christine Rice Harris.
