Biography
Marriage record shows father as John Edward Mear, although John Mear and Mary's mother Rebecca did not marry until after Mary's birth. There is no record of John Mear being the father of Mary's older sisters although the census returns show them living together as a family (with their further children). John and Rebecca's first child after their marriage, Selina Jane, was a witness at Mary's marriage.
