WEDDINGS DALY—BONWICK At St. Mary's Church, on Easter Monday, the Bev. Monsignor Potter solemnised the marriage of Mr. J. J. Daly, only son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Daly, “Avondale” Acacia Creek, New South Wales, and Miss Agnes Bonwick, elder daughter of the late Mr O. Bonwick and of Mrs. Bonwick, Warwick, and granddaughter of the late Mr. James Bonwick, F.R.G.S., F.R.C.I. of Victoria, and of Surrey, England. The bride entered the church with her mother, who later gave her away. The bridal march was beautifully played by Miss Flo. Connolly, cousin of the bridegroom. The bridal dress was of ivory crepe de Chin heavily beaded, with a posy of orange blossoms at the shoulder and waist, and her embroidered tulle veil, lent by the bridegroom's sister, Mrs. Eric O'Neill. Brisbane, was worn in cap fashion, with a bandeau of orange blossoms and lace. She carried a daintily arranged bouquet of tinted cactus dahlias, roses, chrysanthemums, narcissi and tuber-roses, veiled in tulle and fern/with handmade silver roses, and pale pink, tulip streamers The bridesmaids were the Misses Moira and Edna Bonwick, sisters of the bride. They wore pale pink and pale blue crepe de Chine dresses respectively, the bodices being finely pin tucked, and the shirred skirts showing picot edged ruchings and trimmings of silk flowers. Tulle head dresses to match completed the costume, Mrs. Moira Bonwick (chief bridesmaid) carried, a bouquet of pink cactus dahlias and blue delphiniums, intermingled with maidenhair fern and pink satin streamers. Miss Edna Bonwick's bouquet was prettily arranged with apricot and lavender tinted dahlias with fern, and blue satin streamers to tone. The bridegroom was attended by his brother-in-law, Mr. Eric O'Neill, as best man and the duties of groomsman were carried out by the bride's brother Mr. J. Bonwick. The bride's mother wore a frock of plum coloured crepe de Chine, relieved with atmosphere shaded silk, and a erin hat to match. She carried a bouquet of autumn tinted and mauve cactus dahlias, with streamers to harmonise. The bridegroom's mother chose a frock of mastic crepe dc Chine with mariette trimmings, and with it she wore a smart black hat, relieved with mastic. During the signing of the register, Mr. T. Benjamin sang Roswig's "Ave Maria." On leaving the church a silver horse-shoe was presented to the bride by her younger brother, Master Val. Bonwick. Subsequently the guests were entertained at the home of the bride's mother, Monsignor Potter presiding, at the wedding breakfast. The tables, which were, set on the verandahs, were decorated, with roses, cactus dahlias and asparagus fern, a special feature being the three tier wedding cake resting on silver pillars. After the wedding breakfast, Mr. Benjamin gave a beautiful rendering of "When Life's Sun is Setting.” On leaving by car for the honeymoon—a tour of the Northern Rivers —the bride, who wore a navy blue crepe de Chine frock with a smart fitting hat to match, placed her bridal bouquet on the Soldiers' Memorial, in remembrance of her father.

She passed away in 1986.
