Biography

In February 1815, a Peter Borham of East Bergholt, victualler, had gone bankrupt. Not sure if it is the same Peter. The assignees were Joseph King the Younger , and Barnard Borham of Raydon, Suffolk. ^[1]

On 16 April 1816 at East Bergholt, Suffolk, Mary Bird married Peter Boreham. ^[2]

They would have several children at East Bergholt.

There is a burial in 1831 at East Bergholt for Peter Boreham born 1776.

Peter was recorded as a Deceased Bailiff on son Charles's marriage in 1843.

Research Notes

There are a series of baptisms at East Bergholt to Peter and Mary that make a steady chronological sequence, suggesting there was only the one couple of this name and place (i.e. that we aren't mixing up two different families). See FamilySearch Person: LZDS-VYP.

FindMyPast search for Parish Burials does have a Peter Boreham died 1831 at East Bergholt, birth year 1776; payment required to view. I could not find this burial on any other site. The birth/death dates on this profile are based on that being this same Peter's burial. The year 1831 does line up with the list of baptisms to this couple, whose youngest child was born 1829. It would be good to buy this record and view the profession.

No obvious civil deaths or 1841 census for either Peter or Mary; suggesting they both died before 1837.

Peter Boreham (1775-) could possibly be the same Peter; and Barnard Boreham (1779-) possibly the creditor.
