Biography

When James Jackson Bowie was born in 1829 in Banff, Banffshire, Scotland, his father, William, was 29 and his mother, Helen George, was 31. He married Jane Harper on December 6, 1851, in his hometown.^[1] They had [eight] children. He died in 1867 in Scotland at the age of 38.
