Martha Henrietta Bowman, daughter of Joseph Bowman and Elizabeth (Troxel) Bowman was born June 27, 1888 at Henrietta, Texas. She was married in 1908 to Charles Edmon Sharp. They had one child: Edna Earlo Sharp, born February 16, 1910. She married (second) William J. Etheridge, on November 28, 1913. He was born September 19, 1872 in Kentucky, and died January 7, 1927 at Shawnee, Oklahoma. Their children were:

• William Charles Etheridge, born July 7, 1918
• David B. Etheridge, born March 18, 1915
• Edgar Etheridge, born July 10, 1920

She died September 14, 1965 at Muskogee, Oklahoma.^[1]

The 1920 census has Martha (age 31, born about 1889 in Texas) living in Lincoln, Garfield County, Oklahoma. She is living with her husband William (age 50, born in Kentucky), daughter Edna (age 9, born in Oklahoma), son David (age 4, born in Oklahoma), and son C.W. (age 1, born in Oklahoma).^[2]

The 1940 census shows Martha (age 51, born about 1889) as a window. She is living at NW Sixth Street Oklahoma, Oklahoma, in Enumeration District 78-104. Residing with Martha is her sons Charles Etheridge (age 21, born 1919) and Edgar Etheridge (age 19, born 1921).^[3]

Secondly Martha married 28 November 1913 to William J. Etheridge son of John Mason Etheridge and Mary Elizabeth. Martha and William had three children:
