Biography
Frederick was born in 1893. He is the son of Jane Trigg and her husband Edward John Box.[1] His father either died or left and in 1898 his mother remarried to Henry Sherratt. He and all his siblings adopted the surname of Sherratt.
Frederick was an Australian Munitions Worker (No. 601) who enrolled in the joint Australian government/ British government scheme to supply skilled workers for the war effort in WW1.[2]
He married Catheriine Barnard Harris at Brunswick, Victoria on 22 Dec 1920.[3][4]
Frederick died in Parkville, VIC in 1981.[5][6]
Research Note
Both Frederick's step-father and his brother were brass workers and his step-father was operator of a brass foundry, so it seems likely that Frederick was also a brass worker.
