(James Ireland) He married Mary, a daughter of William Boyd, who was a horse jockey in his earlier years, came to Penn township in 1832, and there bought a farm. Mr. and Mrs. Ireland became the parents of children as follows : William W., deceased ; John T. ; James B., of further mention ; Samuel, deceased; Robert Simon; Alfred C. ; Mary Martha; Frank; Joseph D., deceased.
