Ellen Benigna Boyd was born 28 Aug 1900 in Wilmington, New Castle County, Delaware, USA. ^{[1][2] [3]} She was white and the daughter of Caroline "Carrie" Hohn Wentz (31) andWilliam EmeryBoyd (31). ^[4]

In Jun 1939, Mary Boyd married Horace E Reynolds at St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Elkton, Cecil County. Horace was the son of Elwood A and Edna Evans Reynolds. After their honeymoon, Mary and Horace lived in Oxford, Chester County, Pennsylvania. ^[10]

On 31 Jul 1962, her mother Caroline H Boyd (92) died at Community Memorial Hospital in Penn Township, Chester County, Pennsylvania from broncho pneumonia after an operation of a fractured jaw. She was white, widowed from her marriage to William E Boyd, worked as a housewife, and resided in Lower Oxford Township, Chester county. She was born 13 Apr 1870 in Port Deposit, Maryland and the daughter of Charles A and Caroline Hohn Wentz. The informant of her death was her daughter Mrs Horace Reynolds of RD#1 in Oxford. She was buried Aug 3rd at West Nottingham Cemetery with her husband. ^{[12] [13]}
