William H. Kirk married Unita or Unity Boydstern 18 Sep 1850 in Washington County, Arkansas.[2]
In 1860 Unity and William Kirk were living in War Eagle Township, Benton County, Arkansas.
In 1870 the family was living in Brush Creek Township, Washington, Arkansas.
In 1880 Unity Kirk was living in the household of her son Julius Kirk in Walnut Township, Benton, Arkansas. Unity was age 49, birthplace recorded as Tennessee. Son Julius Kirk was age 26. He was married to Delila Kirk, age 28, born in Missouri. The children of Julius were Robert E. Lee Kirk, age 5; John William Kirk, age 2 and Mary F. E. Kirk, infant. Also in the household were Unity's younger sons John Kirk, age 13; James S. Kirk, age 11 and Josiah N. Kirk, age 6.[5]
