John (21), a coalminer, son of Thomas Bradshaw, married Sarah Ann Wileman (16) (born in 1832 in Earl Shilton, Leicestershire, England; daughter of Thomas Wileman and Susanna (Clark) Wileman) on May 28, 1849 in Chesterfield, Derbyshire.^[2][3] Their daughter was Adelaide Louisa Bradshaw (1862–1922).

In the 1851 census John Bradshaw (age 20) was the head of household on Clay Lane, Derbyshire, England.^{[4] [5]}

John Bradshaw, age 23, emigrated to South Australia with his wife and two children. The family were listed as married immigrants in the South Australian Government Gazette of 1 December 1853.^[6]

John died on July 10, 1902 in Ararat, Victoria, Australia, aged 74.^[7]
