Palma M. (Bresciano) Smith, 88, a resident of the Buckley Heathcare Center died Friday (4/6/12) at the center.
She was born in Greenfield on January 18, 1924 the daughter of Peter and Anna (DeMeo) Bresciano.
Palma was a graduate of Greenfield High School Class of 1941.
She served in the US Navy as a Yeoman 3rd class. After attending school in Cedar Falls, Iowa, she was stationed in Bainbridge, MD until the end of WWII.
Palma then moved to Cleveland, OH for 39 years. She worked as an executive secretary for the Empire Plow Company of Cleveland for 38 of those years retiring in 1987.
Upon retiring Palma moved back to Greenfield. She was a communicant of Holy Trinity Church. She also volunteered at the gift shop in the Franklin Medical Center. Palma enjoyed bowling, golfing, reading mystery books and traveling.
Her husband Charles predeceased her on February 14, 1994.
