Obituary

Graveside services for James Brewer, 84 of Simpson will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 8th, at the Brewer Smith Cemetery under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.

Visitation will be Sunday, September 7th, from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

James the son of James Cook and Bertha Spurgeon Brewer was born April 18, 1930 in Simpson, Louisiana. He passed away on Friday, September 5, 2014 in the Northwest Louisiana War Veterans Home in Bossier City, Louisiana. James served in the United States Navy for 4 years and then worked as a Merchant Seaman for over 40 years where he visited numerous countries around the world.

He was preceded in death by; Two Brothers: Robert Huey Brewer and Glen Howard Brewer; One sister and brother-in-law: Ruby & Frank Soden
