Obituary

Lloyd A. Brincefield, 59, Rock Island, died early Friday morning in Central Washington Hospital, following an extended illness.

He was born April 16, 1922, in Coal County, Okla., and lived his early life in that area. He entered the US Army in 1943 and had received the Purple Heart and four Bronze Service Stars. He returned to Oklahoma in 1945 and then two years later he moved to Rock Island.

For The past 31 years Mr. Brincefield had worked at the Hanna Mining plant. At the time of his death he was a fireman-crane operator.

Mr. Brincefield was a member of Wenatchee Aerie #204, FOE.

Survivors include his wife, Marie, at home; four sons, Jerry, Randy and Delbert Brincefield, all of Hibbing, Minn., and Jack Brincefield of Kirkland; two stepsons, Larry Agnew, Rock Island, and Patrick Agnew, Olympia; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Mike (Skeeter) Thurber, Pateros, and Mrs. Max (Donna) Gaston, Monitor; four brothers, Edward of Wenatchee, William Howard of Malaga, Glen of Rock Island and Clifton of Granite Falls; five sisters, Mrs. Berthel (Lillie May) Sweeten and Mrs. Bill (Louise) Nannie, both of Oklahoma, Mrs. John (Lois) Carefoot and Mrs. Rex (Joyce) Searles, both of Snohomish and Mrs. Howard (Fern) Carlson of Granite Falls; 14 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and by one son, Tommy in 1977.

Services were held in Telford's Chapel of the Valley Monday morning at 11 o'clock. Concluding interment services followed in Evergreen Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice. Arrangements by Telford's Chapel of the Valley.
