Biography

Robert Brinsdon married Bathsheba Richards on 15 Feb 1667 in Lynn, Essex, Massachusetts, USA.[1][2] His marriage is listed in some sources as Apr 15 1667. [3]

They had at 4 children, born in north end of Boston:[3]

  2. Elizabeth, b Aug 27 1670, d Dec 9 1721, m Samuel Greenwood
  3. Mary, b Aug 27 1670, d Sep 5 1737, m Capt Jonathan Evans
  4. Joseph, b Aug 7 1672, d 1697, possibly m Desire or Dinah Brinsdell

Bathsheba's father, Edward Richards, had real etate in Lynn, Massachusetts. Bathsheba's name appears with her husband's in certain deeds of real etate. [4]

The Knight family was closely associated with Robert Bronsdon in America. He purchased a Knight estate in Salem. The Knight family is related 'probably' to the mother of Bathsheba, Ann Knight. [5]

Sometime after her last child was born in 1672, Bathsheba died, leaving three little children motherless. [3]

Robert Bronsdon married Rebecca in Jan 1678 in New England, USA.[3][6] Rebecca is probably the widow of Robert's neighbor, who helped him with the children after Bathsheba died. Rebecca's name is not sure, but is possibly Rebecca (Hett) Cooley, widow of Henry Cooley who died after 1677. [7]
