Jason was born about 1847 in Screven County, GA to Adam Cornelius Brinson and Cynthia Burke Brinson. While he is not listed in the 1850 United States Census in his parents' household, he is listed among the orphans of his father in a newspaper announcement concerning their guardianship.[1] A family group sheet compiled by Dorothy Perry in the 1950s, presumably made using information from a family bible, shows him as Jason Wright Brinson who was born 27 Jul 1847. Since I'm unable to confirm the original source of the dates, I'm using about 1847 for Jason's birth date. – Kenneth D. Dixon.
