Faulkner (also Falconer) Bristow, son of Calvert Bristow (bef.1643-bef.1725) and Mary (Turner) Bristow (bef.1671-aft.1700), was born in 1693 at Ifield, Sussex, England and baptized there on 18 July 1693.[1]
Faulkner Bristow and Mary (Maynard) Bristow (bef.1694-bef.1757) were married on 24 October 1718 in Wartling, Sussex, England.[2][3] Children from the Faulkner Bristow and Mary Maynard marriage were:[4]
In 1740, Faulkner was named as Executor of his uncle-in-law Nicholas Maynard's (Nicholas Maynard (1664-1743)) Will. The Will was executed by Faulkner on 14 December 1743.
Faulkner Bristow died in 1759 and was buried on 12 June 1759 in Westham, Wealden District, East Sussex, England.[5][6][7][8]
In the 1930s Edward Jenkins wrote:[4]
The line of descent with which we are dealing comes down through the senior Calvert's son Faulkner, born in 1693, executor with his mother, Mary Bristow, to his father's Will.In 1942 William Syer Bristow described Faulkner/Falconer Bristow as part of his history of the Sussex Bristows:[9]
Faulkner married Mary Maynard on 24 Oct 1718 at Wartling, Sussex, and settled at Westham, Sussex. From 1742 to 1744 he was churchwarden of Westham. His wife was buried there on 14 July 1757. Two years later Faulkner died, being buried at Westham on 12 June 1759.

T. "Falconer, son of Calvert and Mary Bristow" was baptized at Ifield on July 18th 1693 and married Mary Maynard at Wartling, Sussex, on October 24th 1718.
Since we know that his father owned property in Wartling at least six years earlier it is likely that Faulkner met Mary whilst managing these lands or else while on a visit there. The Maynard family were substantial owners of property and her father had died at Westham, near Pevensey, in 1701 so Faulkner's move to Westham after marriage was no doubt due to Mary having inherited some of her father's property there.
Between 1719 and 1737 Faulkner and Mary had nine children and from 1742 to 1744 he was one of the churchwardens at Westham.
In 1757 "Mary, wife of Faulkner Bristow" died and two years later, on June 12 1759, he was buried beside her in a tomb at Westham which bears the Nicholas Bristow coat of arms.
His Will gives no clue to his profession as it merely describes him as "Gentleman" but it is probable he farmed his lands in Pevensey and Westham and let his remaining properties in Lewes "and elsewhere in the said County of Sussex".
