Wolcott was born about 1817 [1] in Orleans, New York, USA. He was the son of Aaron Broadwell and Sarah (Seeley) Broadwell. He died on May 15, 1862 in New York County, New York. [1] Letters of Administration were granted in St. Lawrence County, New York on August 11, 1863 and his inventory was filed September 5th of that year. [2] He is buried in Cypress Hills National Cemetery in Brooklyn, New York. [3]
Wolcott served as a Union soldier in the Civil War. He enlisted on Nov 21, 1861 in North Lawrence, New York with the rank of Musician. He was mustered into Company B of the 98th Infantry on November 29, 1861. He died of disease and was mustered out May 15, 1862. [1]
