David Brockway served in the War of 1812 under Captain Charles P. Miller and Captain Charles Harrison. He married Mary Anderson, also of Lyme. The record of his death in the last link lists his military title as Captain. He died at Lyme, Feb. 5,1830, and was buried in the cemetery on Eight-Mile River, a mile above Hamburgh. The record at Findagrave also states he is listed on page 306 in "Vital Records of Lyme Connecticut to the end of the year 1850" [Literally transcribed under the direction of Verne M. Hall and Elizabeth B. Plimpton] and published by the American Revolution, Bicentennial Commission of Lyme, Connecticut in 1976.
