William Brooks was the father of two sons who survived him: David Brooks of Pitman and Herbert Brooks of Washington, three grandchildren, and one sister (Kate Loper of Bridgeton). He had been a blacksmith in Roadstown for 35 years before retiring to Cedarville in 1933, where he died.^[1]
