Biography

Floyd born 1854 the son of Langdon Brooks and Harriet Thornton.^[1] He appeared on the census of 31 July 1860 in the home of his parents at Smithville, Chenango, New York.^[2]

He married Martha J. Wesler, daughter of Michael M. Wesler and Esther (Lane) Wesler, probably about 1878.

He was a janitor when he and Martha appeared on the census of 4 June 1880 at Binghamton, Broome, New York.^[3]

He married Stella Bacon about 1885.

He was a painter when he and Stella appeared on the census of 6 June 1900 at Binghamton Ward 3, Broome, New York.^[4]

He married Stella Bacon, daughter of Wallael Bacon and Betsy Bissell, on 29 March 1909 at Welland, Ontario, Canada.^[1]

He was a house painter when he and Stella appeared on the census of 15 April 1910 at Binghamton Ward 3, Broome, New York.^[5]

Floyd died in 1942 and was buried at Floral Park Cemetery, Johnson City, Broome County, New York. His memorial has a photo of his headstone and links to those of family members.^[6]
