George Geoffrey Broome was born on 4 Aug 1896 in Rockhampton, Queensland. [1] He was the son of William Broome and Frances Phoebe Livermore. [2]

He attended Rockhampton Grammar School. [1]

Geoffrey George Broome served in the Australian Imperial Force in World War 1 and attained the rank of Private. His enlistment date was 17 Sep 1914.
